Life without Windows or OS X

GNU/Linux is quite possibly the most important free software achievement since the original Space War, or, more recently, Emacs. It has developed into an operating system for business, education, and personal productivity. GNU/Linux is no longer only for UNIX wizards who sit for hours in front of a glowing console. Are you thinking about switching to Linux and want to learn how to use it? Have you been using GNU/Linux for some time and want to learn even more? This is the place for you.

Age of COVID-19: Shift Blame

The attorneys general for Kansas and Missouri are among 18 state attorneys general who signed a letter to U.S. congressional leaders asking for an investigation in the Chinese government’s role with respect to the COVID-19 pandemic.

First let's start off with the exact definition of what a pandemic is...

According to Wikipedia: A pandemic (from Greek πᾶν, pan, "all" and δῆμος, demos, "people") is an epidemic of disease that has spread across a large region, for instance multiple continents or worldwide, affecting a substantial number of people.

According to Webster dictionary :an outbreak of a disease that occurs over a wide geographic area and affects an exceptionally high proportion of the population : a pandemic outbreak of a disease.

Typically pandemics happen when a something new emerges to infect people and can spread between people quickly. Since there really no pre-existing immunity against the infection of some type, it spreads worldwide. Now I will be the first to say that I'm no expert on pandemics. Not something I read a lot about. I typically only read about viruses that effect computers. Of course all those viruses and infections are man-made. Trump the leader of the Trump administration informed the world that he always knew that this new virus was a pandemic before anyone else.

“This is a pandemic,” Trump said at a March 17 news conference. “I felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic. All you had to do is look at other countries. ... No, I’ve always viewed it as very serious.”

My question has always been if Trump knew that this new virus was spreading across the world was a pandemic, why didn't he sound the alarm and warn the world? He kept insisting it was under the control, and definition of a pandemic is you're not in control. But yet on January 22nd Trump was asked,  if there were worries about a pandemic, Trumps reply:

“No. Not at all. And — we’re — we have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s going to be just fine.”

“I think that’s a problem that’s going to go away. They have studied it. They know very much. In fact, we’re very close to a vaccine. So I think that’s a problem that’s going to go away.” Feb. 25 Trump

When members of the media and the public disagreed with his assessment of the outbreak. He posted on his Twitter account.

Low Ratings Fake News MSDNC (Comcast) & @CNN are doing everything possible to make the Caronavirus look as bad as possible, including panicking markets, if possible. Likewise their incompetent Do Nothing Democrat comrades are all talk, no action. USA in great shape! @CDCgov.....

Now privately according to his own words. He ALWAYS felt it was a pandemic BEFORE anybody else knew. Publicly he criticized experts and members of the media for sounding the alarm about the coming health threat. But he later admitted he knew everything. He said he knew things were going to be bad.

"I knew everything. I knew it could be horrible, I knew it could be maybe good. I don't want to be a negative person...,...This [pandemic] is really easy to be negative about. But I want to give people hope too. You know I'm a cheerleader for the country — we are going through the worst thing that the country has probably ever seen."

Trump has on several-several occasions sowed doubt about the severity of the virus even using the word HOAX in an attempt to discredit his critics. He even use the word hoax at South Carolina event where the virus was being spread like wildfire. So what did the state of South Carolina do about Trump's dishonesty?  Attorney General Alan Wilson joined Missouri to go after China. Why is attorney general Wilson giving Donald Trump a pass? Trump came into his state and told his people at that rally misleading information concerning the health risks of the virus. Trump had every opportunity at that campaign rally to tell the world covid-19 was a pandemic. By his own admission he wanted to be this country's cheerleader, so he withheld his true feelings about what he knew.

The Chinese deny responsibility for what happened with coronavirus, and we all know that the Chinese government does have some credibility issues. However, Trump admits on the record, that he knew that it was a pandemic and didn't warn the public. My main question is...Why are the states giving a pass to an individual who admits he (Trump) hid the truth from us all?
