ChimeraOS 28
ChimeraOS 28 is based on Arch Linux. However there is no desktop environment. ChimeraOS boots directly into Steam Big Picture mode. There’s no dual booting between Windows or other GNU+Linux distros. It is meant for dedicated gaming PC providing a console-like experience on generic PC hardware. The core of ChimeraOS outside of Steam is read-only and uses what’s known as “atomic updates.” It uses frzr to automatically update the system. Frzr does not make use of Arch Linux's native package manager pacman. Gamer OS is open source, allowing users to build on or adapt the source code, but the actual Steam client is "closed source". Sorry free software fans.

Tales of Berseria is a Japanese-style action role-playing video game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows. As of Dec. 2021 there is no version for Xbox systems. The news is it works very well with proton. As with all Tales titles, the game uses a variation of the Linear Motion Battle System (LMBS). Thanks to Proton and the GNU+Linux community, more than 5,000 games technically run on Linux. ChimeraOS 28 and is a viable option to run windows based games like, Tales of Berseria.
If your a big Tales fan check out, Tales of Arise. It is the the 17th main entry in the Tales series, it was originally planned to release in 2020 but was delayed to September 2021. It's also the first game of the series with a worldwide simultaneous launch. As Tales of Berseria, Tales of Arise works very well on my set up. If you are pinching pennies, both games this week will be on sale.
